2012 Battle of the Books Champions


Students enjoy a fun-filled field day at WHES
West Hoke Elementary students enjoyed a fun-filled and competitive field day. Students were excited to participate in the many activities, which included a dunking booth, tug-of-war, running relays, inflatable bouncers and plenty of 
food fresh off the grill.


College & Career Ready

West Hoke Elementary students prepare for middle school transition
Students at West Hoke Elementary enjoyed a trip to West Hoke Middle School on Thursday, May 3.  Principal Mary McLeod welcomed the future Tigers and spoke with them about high expectations, respect and discipline. Students also enjoyed the WHMS student tour guides who provided them with helpful tips on how to be successful and active participants in the middle school.

Student of the Month
and
Terrific Kids

Student of the Month and Terrific Kid honorees are recognized at the end of each month.  Students have to display specific character traits before being selected for either award

The Terrific Kid nominee must show signs of being thoughtful, enthusiastic, respectful, responsible, influential. friendly, impeccable, and caring. The Terrific Kid chosen receives awards, such as, a pencil. a Waffle House coupon, and delicious ice cream!

The Student of the Month nominee must have excellent school attendance.  The student must be able to get along with others. He/She must also have fantastic work habits and a wonderful attitude.  The Student of the Month honored will receive an award, a pencil and a free Domino's Pizza.
